Release Notes: Contiguous Land, Allocated Costs, Map Tools, & International Search

At Anderson Optimization, we're continuously refining our platform to meet the evolving needs of solar developers. Our latest updates introduce significant enhancements: extended parcel search capabilities, the availability of allocated costs in AO Capacity, and improved map tool accessibility. These improvements streamline site selection, offer deeper insights into interconnection costs, and enhance user navigation, directly supporting faster and more informed decision-making for your projects.

Enhanced Parcel Search for Contiguous Land Ownership

We've enhanced the existing 'Contiguous Land with Same Owner' parcel search setting to make it even easier to locate large landholders' parcels near a target POI. Our most recent update helps extend the search beyond even the initial search boundary to pull in any additional contiguous land from the same landowner that may be outside the original search boundary (but that also connects to parcels from the same landowner within the target search area).

Allocated Costs Now Available in AO Capacity

Allocated Costs are now live! Users subscribed to our premium AO Capacity dataset in designated regions can now see estimated costs of interconnection at a given bus based on planned upgrades and filter to find buses based on their desired budget. Learn more about Allocated Costs and its availability on our user documentation here!

Updated Map Tools

We’ve relocated some highly used map settings to make them easier to access. Quickly hop into full screen mode or zoom to your project area with the “Full Screen” and “Snap to Project Extent” buttons on the bottom right corner of the map (near the existing map zoom buttons).

Parcel Search Metric System Support

In support of our growing international customer base, when Adding Land to projects, users can now specify search areas in metric system units including hectares, kilometers, meters, and centimeters. Learn more about Parcel Search features in our user documentation.
